First time I had heard about burgers and wine was on one of my monthly shipments of wine. Don’t try to clean your glasses yes you saw shipment of wine. I always thought that wine was for fancier meals then just burgers and chips.
I thought wrong!!
What a pairing this turned out to be.
The wine that I had with my burgers was a rose. I know everyone had heard of red and white yet rose. The wines flavor I though would be over powering. We just smelled the cork and I wanted to take a drink right then and not wait for dinner. I refrained from that.
The Smell
Smell is one of the senses that we use to tell if we are going to like something. With this wine I smelled strawberry mixed with orange. For those that like smoothies like I do it smelled like a orange and strawberry smoothie.
A little about the wine itself
This particular wine is American Made. Born and raised in California. Imagine a grape (Barbera) that was only found in northern Italy; being cultivated in California.

We had just the run of the mill burgers you get from the store. These were the kind with cheese already in the burger. As you can tell that’s not enough cheese for me. Nothing real fancy just the burger with tomato and mayo on a bun. With Daritos as our side item. This was the perfect meal to take on a picnic.
The Pairing!!
The pairing for these two was perfect. Neither one overpowered the other. The wine actually make the flavors of the burgers stand out even more then you would think.
The burger tasted so much better. When having the wine before, the tomatoes really stood out. And where it would normally be hidden among the other flavors.
